Disk golf is open for sponsorship. The way to get your team sponsored is outlined a page or two back in my reply to Big C. I'll give u the short version though.

Tell us which disk golf team you would like as the Official Jolly Roger Disk Golf Team, and we'll put their poster on the wall and try to incorporate their games into our sports programming on the big screens if and when they are available. Many sports have been chosen already, so look through the first few pages to see most of them. Disk golf is open though.

Staal is the captain of the Carolina Hurricanes, my "home" team and the official Jolly Roger NHL team. I haven't been watching the playoffs or the world championship. I have to google it now. Thanks for the heads up. That was a nasty knee on knee. They know they're supposed to guard against it. Elder was definitely leading with the knee coming in. He knows better. Crappy move! That kind of hit has ended careers. Thats easy for me to say after the fact, though.

No update on Staal. He's back in Raleigh NC now. Had a MRI today, but they're not releasing any info.

Edler was suspended for the remainder of the International Ice Hockey Federation's World Championship. In another clip I saw, but can't seem to post, you can actually see him intentionally push his knee out just before the hit. It looks like he meant to do it.

It sure was an ugly move.

I just wanted to clear up any misconceptions about Ultimate Frisbee, because it's not a very well known sport. It's like a mix of football and soccer.(or rugby and fotball, depending where you live) There's no contact, and you cannot run with the disc . Here's a video, it is us at the Virginia State Championships. It was a tournament and we didn't make the finals, but we have a young team and will in the future.

Btw, I did find out who painted us yellow. I'm having some difficulty being able to tell if he wants to be publicly acknowledged for his good deed though. I have privately thanked you (omitted), now (omitted) let me publicly thank you. That was very kind of you.

This reminds me of the "crappy" job I had during college. I worked ramp at the airport, servicing the planes. Duties included (from best to worst) picking up the hot stewardess I mean flight attendants (for the politically correct)and shuttling them down to the terminal.

We also ran all the equipment to the plane to load/unload bulk but we would always draw sticks to see who got the rewarding job of pumping out the waste line. It involved attaching a hose to the main sewage drain on the belly of the plane but no matter how much you tried to avoid it, you always got sprayed, especially if it was windy.

Sweden - Finland 1 - 0 after the first period of world championship semifinal. Second just started.

USA - Switzerland starts in 2 hours and 40 min

I watched a game of Ultimate being played at a sports centre in Oxfordshire about 20 years ago.
Every throw was perfect to watch, but it looks like a fast game.
I think ill swipe a chair and and enjoy it on the big screen.
There was also a game like golf, where you aimed at baskets high up in trees.
I can throw a frizzbee but not with much style!
Frizzbee was always an essential holiday item in our family.
