that doesn't make sense, if it detects your subscription (it gives you an error) it would fix itself. Also it would never allow you to buy another subscription. You can't have two subscriptions on the same account.
My suggestion is to remove the game and reinstall. That may be the only way to detect the subscription it seems. Also if you are on apple device, on the cart icon there is a "restore purchases" button to restore all purchases from there.
