this is a new phenomenon that started only recently. i don't use my webcam anymore so it lays dormant behind my monitor. within the last week, i noticed when i joined a game, the active light comes on. never used to do that before.

is there something in the latest game update that might be triggering this? or am i haxxored? my system is Win10.

Because of the microphone. Probably your webcam also has a mic. It turns mine too, that’s where it gets the sound from when I speak.

my screen recorder built into my tablet wont work either i have to start it before i enter the game .if i try to start it in the game it say mic already in use and closes the app

yep, if a software requires the mic, it will lock it for all other apps. So whichever requests it first has priority
