My game username is Blood&Guts. I tried to register for the forum using the same name but the system wouldn't accept it. The username box would get a red outline. I was able to successfully register as Blood-Guts, so I could get a note to you. I would like my forum username (website username) at match my game username, Blood&Guts. Also, when I try to join a squadron the system doesn't find Blood&Guts, nor does it come up with searching for rankings. I think now the forum recognized Blood-Guts as a separate person from Blood&Guts. Can you please make my username Blood&Guts consistent from game to website and forum.

I'm sorry, but you cannot use the "&" character when making a username.

Well, no one has control over your forum name. You'll probably have to go and make another forum account.

No, you need to do this yourself via the Management page. Please click the link in my previous post and select "Change Name".

Thanks. Sorry if misunderstanding, but the management page will NOT allow me to change my game name. Nothing on the website works when I enter Blood&Guts, because of the &, so if it is possible can you please force my game name change to BloodNGuts on the game then I will change my forum name to match. Otherwise I'll never be able to join squadron, check ranks, etc. The only other options are to start the game completely over with a new name by deleting app and starting over, or not have the forum benefits. So if you can, please change my game name to BloodNGuts. Thanks!

Ps, it would be good if the app had the same character rules in names as the forum does
to prevent future problems for folks.

I'm sorry, but it should work. We can't "force" anything onto anyone's account either man. Hmmmm....

You're sure you've tried the name changer? I suggest using it on a computer. Everyone always tries to do everything from their phone/device and it sometimes doesn't work.

Okay, Slenderman. The management page did allow me to change my in game name to BloodNGuts. But it didn't let me do it using my old in game name Blood&Guts, rather, I had to use my email. However, I still have two problems:

1. Although the manager page said "Name changed," my name in the game on iPad still shows up as Blood&Guts (i rebooted my iPad twice).

2. When I check my rank on the website (on a computer or iPad), it does find BloodNGuts (my new in game name), but it shows me as a second lieutenant with a set of strange low stats, rather than my current rank of wing commander.

Thanks Slenderman. I tried this a bunch of unique user names, with no luck. The same two problems show up I mentioned above: 1) Name change not reflected in game, and 2) stats and rank not right in rank list (correct on game, though). Maybe it's just bugs in the system, or it takes time for everything to catch up. I suppose I'll just give up at this point because I know you are busy and other folks need help. Keep up the great work with a great game.

The server should update instantly, but yeah -- try giving it 24 hours.
