I was "banned for 5 minutes" right after bombing hangers on enemy airport last night and was wondering if I did something wrong. Aldo, how long does it take or what requirements to increase in rank. Thanks, Steve

If you kill teammates, you can be banned. Friendly fire happens, so if you do it say sorry and forget about it.

Yes, earlier during frenzy, I did clip teammate's wing. He did not go down and I did apologize right away. Thankfully, he did not go down.
Also, about how long could it take to move up in rank so that I can get a better plane? I know that is not answer to me needing MUCH more practice though.

U need points to rank up they are on top of the chat box. Ex-0/2500. And u need coins to buy new planes they are on top right corner. And u can also buy coins with real money, 15000coins for $1

Yeah, you need to actually down several teammates for it to ban you, or bomb three of your own hangers.

If your a second luitenent right now, youll level up fast. Just take a chute when you die to preserve points.

As for getting new planes, yeah, make kills and get coins. You also need to pay $5 for an upgrade, which you can do on the home screen. Once you get 3500 coins, which apparently you bought thirty times over, buy the Spad. Its the green plane with three stars speed and armament and two with one grey manueverability. Its better than the red fokker dr 1 because you can upgrade it. dont worry too much about planes, tho. A good pilot can do the same thing in a sopwith as he can in the SE5A. you improve faster in bad planes, too.

I couldn't believe it when I finally noticed the time last night (actually wee hours in the morning) and that I had been laboring for an incredibly long time trying to improve my dogfighting skills. I'm sure I must have past the point to where I was being counter productive. It is a wonder that I did not screw up any worse than I did. Oh, I just made Lieutenant (3) and used my coins to buy the Spad. I will be busy much of this weekend but, can't wait to get back "up there".
One of my biggest frustrations is trying to find the gun site's "sweet spot". Also, I try to wait until I get close enough to see at least a tiny speck of plane underneath the enemy's banner before I shoot. How do you guys make so many kills from so far out? Oh, I am doing good to even get one kill during a skirmish.

The "sweet spot" as you call it is slightly under the climax of the curved tan line that goes thru the sight.

Just aim right under the middle of the name, and use the rank symbol to help guide. Focus on the name tho. At long range, a lot of hits are luck. Until you can actually aim at that distance, it's all about how many bullets you get off. If you shoot 100 bullets, you're more likely to hit them twice than if you only shoot 20.

Don't worry about getting a bunch of kills, bro. If you're a Leiutenant and you can get one kill per game, you're doin' fine. I went 1-10 in plenty of games. Don't pay attention to the scores you see here, the 87-12 or whatever. That takes a long time.

Thanks so much for your help. I will work on this. So I guess you reload ammo same way as bombs; by going back to airport? I did buy the one upgrade for my new Spad. I am currently playing this game on my Droidx2. It is ok but, I plan on moving up to a tablet as soon as I can.

Yeah, land on your controlled territory, either your carrier/base or a captured carrier, hit the breaks, and wait. Id recommend having your engine on halfway when your down so you can throttle up full, wait half a second, and youre up at high speed. Good for avoiding spawnkillers too.

I tried twice to start new topic but was unable. Kept getting told "topic locked". Just wanted to comment on how hard decent landings are for me. Just spent some time in practice mode working on this because of being so embarrassed especially during carrier landings. I usually cut throttle back to between 1/4 &1/2 just before touch down. Biggest problem is keeping nose of plane from bouncing so high. Wondered if any of you guys went through this.
Oh, I think I have settled on the Samsung Galaxy Tab for next upgrade.

Yeah, i had the same problem. Its helpful to be going as slow as possible, preferably no more than 40 mph. less if possible. when your about to touch down, pull your nose up, and it will keep it down on landing. i still suck at landing, but shooting is more important anyway.
