When I joined Dogfight 6 years back,it was different. Yes you had squabbles. Then I joined misfits. I've noticed something that I to have been guilty of. Leaving a game. It use to be that you would announce your leave. Yes there are exceptions. But people leave, come back, leave, come back. Then leave before game ends. This is a community of people who have shared their lives with each other. Friendships were formed. I met Lil who introduced me to Dognamitt. Two of the most caring people who have stuck by my side through my depression. Calling, and never forgetting my birthday. Pretty cool. Anyways I sense tension that has diminished a bit,but Cavaliers, they talk about family. Love and peace. To songs come to mind,my personal favorite by the Hollies,"He ain't heavy, hes my brother." Inspired by a priest who ran a boys school who saw a young man caring his best friend who was to sick to walk. Father siad let me help. Boy siad,he ain't heavy, he's my brother. One more is a lyric,"c'mon people now, smile on your brothers, and love one another right now." Let's not stupe to peoples levels who find it necessary to make excuse and lies. Yes, Cavaliers is by far not innocent, but they are setting a pace. We don't have to like each other, but let's show some respect for each other. For me, I can say,I really love men and women, neighbors and strangers. Those who suffer for no reason. I fall short everyday putting my faith in God. But I love him. I trust him, and I trust his son. Peace

I’ll be honest, I’m also very guilty of leaving and coming back like you said. But we humans can’t make up our mind on what to do. Then add any issues that come along the way. And one more thing, I never knew how great the community is until reading your post, which gives another reason for me to join.People say “Yeah, it’s a nice distraction from work, what else is it for”. They seem to forget the great community they are a part of. Dogfight elite definitely cured my anti-socialism :)

I joined as a kid 6 years ago committing hate crimes in the community but I never knew how great the community really was and it seems I missed out on that part early. I was accepted by few and even fewer I had to call my friends. This was before I even understood myself or had a good outlook on life. I was 15 and thought I was right but now at 21 I see how foolish I was. I hope in another 5 years I see myself at 21 as being foolish and I never stop improving. I know that sounds funny but it’s true. I pop in here from time to time as the years go by and I hope this game is around for my future kids. I would love to dogfight them around a bit. Happy Saturday all, Cheers. :)

What a great thread, thanks for writing it Cue! I stick around in game, even if all other's leave--unless I'm lag kicked, internet down or have to go and always announce it. Just this week I was in a game with Newberry and it was just the two of us versus a lot of reds. I was not wanting a long game, but I was not going to leave him and didn't.

The forum is a place to connect with people and squads to interact. Gee, don't we need some of that in today's world? I've had some great games of folks laughing and cheering each other on and happy to be part of this after so many years.

I echo Moraf--Happy Saturday and Howl On Brothers and Sisters!
