I support the cause

It will never happen as long as mixed wars are a part of the game..I hear about it all the time about how someone's getting their butts spanked and switch to a jet to twist and turn past a biplane for an easy win without having to shoot a single shot.
I do support everyone switching to the other side of that person to make it 7 vs 1 if it's still possible.

Wish it would happen too. Mixed wars was the END of DF. Hardly sustainable with so few and no new folks joining.

Played a great game today where folks were mostly in WWI planes. Plenty of fair play and good fun. Posted a pic of the end of the game on WP Squad. Many of us had high kills in game, proving it lasted a long time.

And then came a WW2 Jethog twirling its way up the middle and bombed all 6 of our hangars. Look at the pic and and low kills to guess who it was. Empty win.

Sure, I could have switched to one of my jets----but I'm not someone who needs to ruin a good game just to win a cartoon game. I guess some need to--just not me.

Saturday and Sunday I'll be playing only with my Siemens and Camel. I have played more with my ww1 airplanes than with ww2.

yes, tho I do not see as many jets as I used ti here...

Yeeee...I mean jets are fine man..it’s the non chivalrous, cheatin d bags in jets that ruin it..like the guy from our game Dire! Lol....but I want Power Rankings...thread voted on by everyone per a designated time that reflects the players votes on the best form pilots at the time. There are pilots entrenched on the rankings who haven’t played in forever..and rankings inflated by all sorts of crazy crap..and plenty of players that may have poor stat lines that the game ultimately ends up hinging on..like the game with pappy that he only got 10-40KD but he single handedly broke up Pure and I at distance the whole game with excellent shooting at distance..just feel like he was one of the best pilots in that game with 10 in it..but on world rankings he wasn’t as high and on the KD he wasn’t as high, but I’d voted him higher than 7 of the pilots in that game for the month of June cuz he consistently did that. Of course your “peers”aren’t gonna put forth you as a top aviator if all you do is camp, sneak, loop, and talk sh1t. But if you aren’t loved, but play like a boss, your peers may still recognize that or at least respect it. I reckon so much about this game has changed for better or for worse. The code, community, planes themselves a,omg other things has changed. The first 2 are things we changed on our own irregardless of the written code of the game being the sense of community and respect and chivalry. Love of playing etc. so why not add a more transparent, simpler form of ranking recognition on the forum or something? Of course I’m not well versed in this type of stuff and have no idea if it’s a good idea or not. But maybe it would be cool and be worth the challenge of pilots universally across the game? Idk...but if your like V, Dire, Viper, hell anyone else holding it down in WW1 against jets..I feel that alone should be worth a testament to the skill of the pilots doing that vs those whom live and die by loop bombing in their ME262 or spitfire...and perhaps that spotlite or emphasis on it will illuminate what a Crutch and handicap it is for those players doing that..and essentially make their illegitimacy be the cause of ridding the game of that...so it’s more or less an indirect solution for a fundamental problem, banking on the shame or illegitimacy of their tactics over their cooperation of just not using the plane that makes them competitive, or a bully in some cases......idk perhaps I’m shooting too deep on this one lol

I thought we were forced to the mixed war because ww2 games were empty. Or perhaps all the games were empty? No, I recall even with the double points for ww2 not enough people played ww2, probably because it sucked.

Dude you must be crazy, I mean jets have to fly on Sunday's as there are to many travelers now. You know if you take away jets on Sunday that's gonna really screw up the entire system. You would have mayham on Mondays. And what would you do with all the air traffic controllers. Gezzzzzzzzzzzz

Today some members of my squad have complained about Von Kilner playing only with ww2 plane, no one can forbid, I know, but for collective good it would be interesting to play with plane like most, who knows someday ..........

Here is a conversation starting thought... (I hope). How about a day dedicated to ww2 planes only? We used to try to play with our lowest tier plane one day a month and for those who participated it was fun. What about a similar day, but with all ww2 planes? I have ww2 and would be willing to give that a try from time to time, just for sticks and grins.

In Von's defense, at least he doesn't merely loop his way to the target, bomb then crash like some others. Nor does he sneak his way to the target then camp using the speed advantage of the jet or Spit. Von will fight you head to head, which isn't very easy in a jet. He does cross the field rather quickly, giving him that advantage. But that is about the only advantage Von seems to have. One of the few jet jockeys I don't mind playing against......

One major problem with the jet is that it brings lag to game. The jet is tough to hit because it is jumping frames, worse when you get close to it. It reduces fluidity and the quality of the gameplay.

Hey bware, All true! I find the jets bring lag game, jump, but make great targets as they are larger and I've learned some tricks to bring them down.

As Viper pointed out, there are those who play honorably with a jet. I just finished a game with LukeStalker and he's one you can count on in a jet. Another Jet, in same game, sneaked and tossed bombs in a 'hail mary pass'. In my WWI plane brought him down with a fellow Cav.

I'm all for a Jet Only Day. Hell, I'll dust mine off. For now, I can do just fine against them.
