Gents,
Thanks to SkyDavis, WatUp, _eBu_, Seattle, Bomer, and all others for the information and advice on how to improve my game. You guys are great!

OK, something new...

I would welcome the entire FORUM's thoughts on:

- BEST DOG FIGHTER OF ALL TIME(of any war). My personal favorites:
1. Hans-Joachim Marseille
2. Werner Voss

- BEST DOG FIGHTER in DOGFIGHT (this game). I don't care 'bout stats-- Who's the ONE player who you DON'T want to tangle with? Here are my picks (since I just can't seem to shoot these two down):
1. Sky Davis
2. Rickenfaker

Look forward to some spirited discussions!

Hey SB, here are my answers to (hopefully) most of your questions:

1. In order to advance your rank, certainly you need to bomb, however, if you don't like to bomb like your unique fighting style that I see you maneuver in the sky to a turning battle, just make sure to save your points (after you shoot down pilots)by parachuting once you get shot down, bombing hangars( also to save points), and winning games. Those are key, so you won't lose any points but gain points.

2. To get the gold stars on your current plane either you gain the money needed to buy the star by going to multiplayer and playing the games or you can buy points.( the buy points button is in the bottom left corner where you choose which plane to fly) To buy the Albatross D5 you need to gain money as well by going to multiplayer and gaining money there or, like I said before, buying points. Yes, you can earn xp and money with any plane you wish to fly.

I hope I answered most( if not all) of your questions bud:) if you have anymore, don't be afraid to let it go. See you in the sky :) :)
If you lose in the outside you win in the inside.

Ur status looks great nit too many deaths, crashes, and good amount of kills. B strachan is right u need more hangers bombed. Dont worry I do too. I have the least # of hangers bombed compare to other people in my rank.

Hey SB467,

I looked at the ratios on your stats and you are very competitive with the top aces in the Top 100. At this point it is a matter of squeezing out the points as recommended above and more playing time. You have the top planes. There are also games like shooting down the zepplin where shots into the zepplin can rack up points. But... you probably win alot of games and are as good as almost anybody in the plane except the BLessed With Superatural Talent Ones in the very Top 10. Once you get to your level you are competing with people who probably play a few hours a day and you slip in the ranks just by not playing for a couple of days...

See you in the sunny skies, Seattle

hi sb,
altough i am not one of that "salty" experienced players yet, i ll comment as you have mentioned me :9
i believe you got your answers, for question 2, you need to earn money to get the golden stars, its your choice either to earn it by playing or buying, depends on your patience :)

and my observation on you, may give some tips for your #1, is that you probably drop your bomb immediately after take off and then kill people, which is of course good for your ranking. i try to keep my bomb with me till i drop it to the enemy base or die or i face you :), as long as i do not see my base under attack while take off. i am not certain of course but i believe, Z may have given weight to team fighting aspects while designing the game, such as bombing, winning game..etc

however, without hesitation, you are one of the best fliers i saw in this game.

btw, is there anyone to assist me about aiming, which i think i definitely suck at.
cheers..

Hey SB, b strachan was right when he said "you need to bomb more." ;) I also would try to not crash or die more than possible. Like, don't suicide bomb a tank if he's in the open. I'm sure you already know this, because you're an ace yourself :P I hope this was helpful, see you in the skies,

Hey eBu,

You're a great flyer and ranking up fast. Lifetime in the game, you and have I kill:death ratios that would put us in the Top100 with more play (1.4). I'm guess in your recent games you are more like 1.8 kills:death which means you've got damn good aim.

All I can guess is that aim is really about a steady hand and fast instinct to stabilize your plane and lock in on where the enemy is before you really see the plane. The biggest different among alot of players seems to be whether they get the long shots. I just got repeatedly nailed by Watup who has a kill:dead of 4.0 and I just don't know how he is so good... Or SkyDavis, the deadliest in the game, has a trick or two in close combat that is unreal.

I guess its just practice... I'm always blown away in the Olympics that you can get the 30 best in the world at something and a few competitors still leave everyone in the dust..

Wat up,
THANKS! This is EXACTLY the kind of feedback I was hoping for... you're a class act. I'll take your advice and see what happens.

BTW: I like your mantra about respect (for your opponent). It's definitely in keeping with the spirit of the odl WWI aces (i.e. saluting your downed foe; holding your fire if your foe was out of ammo, etc)

I'll try to better uphold that spirit, myself.

Take it easy and see you over No-Man's land, friend.

Land at base to re-load... I do. Unless, of course I'm shot down first.

Thanks, Bud!

hey seattle,

thanks, u r definitely right with your advices.
about the statistics; what i have done wrong with this game was to get directly in the multiplayer mode, wtihout a single practise fly, and this costed me lots of deaths you know.

anyway, there are some people hitting me down with the first bullets, generally they have weird shooting style, like a wavy bullet stream, which i believe decreases the aiming success. another point i cant understand how they can shoot me down before i can see them (plane), just foresee, or the effect of an ipad screen, or maybe luck :)

whatever, the topic is sb467, just keep playing man, i dont know whther you be #1 but u definitely are capable of being in the first 30.

cheers all..
