Egor Dog is correct, the {WP-P} that all new recruits should have behind their call sign is simply a sign to show they are new. It is removed once the pack is comfortable that the new recruit is following our rules and such. Plus, we tell them in a pm that they can take it off which shows they at least visit the forum. We have also started asking new recruits to either tell us something about themselves or answer a simple question about the squad. They must post it on our main squad thread, it is important to have communication and everyone must be able to at least know where our squad page is and how to get to it. The forum is not fun for everybody and it is not a requirement that everyone post all the time just that you can read it, know what is going on and be able to communicate when needed.

Thanks for coming on and talking to us. We will accept you, please read the first couple of pages of our main squad thread so you understand our rules. Normally I'd ask you to put {WP-P } behind your call sign but you are only allowed 16 characters and you have used them all. You can shorten your call sign if you want but that is your choice.

In addition, I would love to create a Directory of Offices on our main page with direct links to the particular offices, such as links to:

I like the idea! I requested a link for our main WP thread to go on front page, as I occasionally get PM's wanting to know about WP. Quite easy to just copy/paste and send them to our page for information. Other links would be great too.

Digger that's a top notch idea brother will help new recruits I'm behind this idea

If you go into the forum squadron section and click on Wolf Pack Squadron, all our threads, including the recruiting office and banner shop appear. They are relatively easy to find.

Personally I just use the recent topic tab located above and check out all the newly posted stuff since I last visited.

I guess what I am trying to say is if a new recruit isn't going to visit the forum regularly (or at all) then it will be more difficult to navigate to the various areas. I did provide a link at the very bottom of our main page which takes you to the list of Wolf Pack topics, such as recruiting office and banner shop (both are right at the top). I wonder how many folks have actually used the link?

Do we need to make two links, one for each topic? Or can we use the existing link which will take you to both topics along with any other Wolf Pack related threads? I can do that if needed, just let me know.

I'm starting to lean towards the policy if they don't come to the forum and post a little something then we just don't accept them. We have lots of members who are active in the game, but only a few of us keep the forum running with any regularity. This should be a great place to brag about achievements, talk smack about each other, and regular old chit chat between brothers and sisters. That is difficult with squad pilots who aren't even on the forum, right?

What does everyone think about that?

Yes, I have played a few games where Ace was there. If I remember correctly, he did well, seemed to be an ok person, too.

I agree. Would be nice to have new players post and once in a awhile keep up to date on forum. Quite a few of the new players have gotten compliments on thread and don't think they ever saw them.

And the collective "us" should make it fun.... even when we are on the forum bitchin' about this and that, right?

Dire I suspect you are correct. We probably give accolades which go unknown.
