the spit and the hurricane were completely different. In terms of horses the spit was a thoroughbred and the hurricane was a workhorse

But the only problem with that claim is that as guns don't really kill that much. They weaken. The people that operate no they have limits, so they would try to hit every plane, weaken it for the sky forces and viola, a system worth keeping around for 70 more years. (but now we have SAMs so the aa gun is a thing of the past)

The claim is that AA+ spitfire was used more in number wise, and plus,
seasoned AA crews could knock out many planes with ease.

During the Battle of Britain, the Hurricane accounted for %55 of 2,739 german losses compared to the faster Spitfire's %42 percent that's a thirteen percent increase.

In only one battle that I read of did the hurricane lose more planes than shot down and that was 27 hurricanes lost to 22 luftwaffe planes.
